“The Authentic” Village is a totally new-built neighborhood with traditional rooms in the heart of the Chora Sfakion, in Crete.
What are the nearby Sfakia airports?
Crete is served by three airports. The most suitable for Sfakia region is the Chania International Airport Ioannis Daskalogiannis.
At what time is Check-in?
Check-in is performed from 14:00 to 20:00.
At what time is Check-out?
Check-out is performed from 08:00 to 11:00. Afterwards, the rooms have to get cleaned fussily for the upcoming arrivals.
Is there option for the late check in?
Yes, of course, there is the option of late check in, our reception team will contact you for further information, upon request for the late check-in.
Can I get an early Check-In or a late Check-Out?
Both options are possible; please be so kind as to send a request online in case of Check-In, or inform the reception the same morning in case of late Check-Out, and if possible, we will provide you for free with a requested service.
Is private parking available at “The Authentic” Village?
Yes, we offer private parking, free of charge, behind the Ntourountous bakery, which is 100m away from the hotel.
How many rooms are in the hotel?
“The Authentic” Village has 14 guest rooms creating the essence of a true small village inside the capital of Sfakia. All rooms are fully equipped and offer either view from the balcony or access to the manicured yard.
Is the property suitable for people with walking issues or mobility difficulties?
No, our property is not suitable for people with walking issues or mobility difficulties due to the steps that exist on the property.
Can I leave my luggage at the hotel before checking in or after checking out?
Of course, we will keep your luggage. So, don’t worry and enjoy your day!
Do you offer a breakfast?
We do not offer breakfast on site, instead we offer 10% discount on all products in the local traditional BIO bakery, throughout the day during your stay in our hotel.
Do you have single or triple beds?
No, we do not have single or triple rooms. All our rooms are double rooms and have an original double bed, not a bed composed of 2 single beds. There is also no possibility for extra beds in the rooms.
Do all your rooms have a kettle & coffee maker?
Yes, all rooms are fully equipped, including the kettle and the Nespresso coffee machine, which are provided free of charge (mountain tea and coffee capsules are provided upon arrival and refilled by the cleaning staff during the service).
Do you accept pets?
Our property is not pet friendly; therefore we do not accept pets.
Do you have hairdryer and iron within the rooms?
Yes, we do. All rooms are fully equipped, including the hairdryer and iron (steamer, for easier use and safety reasons too).
Do we have where to dry our clothes/beach towels?
Yes, indeed. Each room has its own clothes spreader (drying rack).
Do you have beach towels?
Yes, we do. Beach towels are provided upon request, at reception, and can be changed every 2 days, at reception.
Do you offer a room cleaning service?
Yes, we provide daily cleaning service to the rooms, free of charge.
Can you help us to organize the hiking trips?
Our hotel organizes walking trips to Imbros and Aradena gorge, weekly. You can get more information for these two excursions at the hotel reception. In addition, our reception team can help you organize any other trip, providing you with adequate information and timetables.
